THE FALDO COURSE
Cradled by the two loughs that surround our resort, this course offers a unique opportunity to enjoy an Irish golf experience in its purest form.
A world of its own
Designed by six-time Major winner, Sir Nick Faldo, this iconic course is encompassed by the Fermanagh Lakelands. Follow in the footsteps of golfing legends such as Sir Nick Faldo, Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington as you step up to tee off. With water in play across 11 of the 18 holes, this spectacular golf course is sure to challenge and delight players of all abilities. Measuring 7,071 yards, this par 72 course will take you from lakeside spots, through lush green woodland, and right up to some of the most beautiful vantage points in the area. When it comes to golfing in Ireland, it does not get much better than this with it's links like playing conditions thanks to its unique sand foundation which offers all-weather playing conditions.
Step by step
Your journey across the course starts as you cross the Reeds Bridge through the wetlands and head into our evergreen woodland to face the first five holes. After a testing par three over a small lake, you'll find yourself up at the sixth hole gazing out over the two loughs.
The next part of the course follows the shore of Lough Erne, rising and falling with its banks. The par four, seventh hole is one of our most photographed holes. With its elevated tee, you're guaranteed breath-taking views of Devenish Island.
The 10th hole is the signature hole on The Faldo Course and is a golfing feat on the edge of Lower Lough Erne. This short risk-reward hole measures 300 yards and requires precision to reach the green, which is surrounded by water on three sides.
The par five 14th and 16th holes are also renowned for their excellence. A magnificent raised tee offers glorious views of the 16th fairway which features the lough running through the full length of the hole. The 18th is a tremendous par three and leaves you back at the resort to soak in all that the resort has to offer.
6th hole - Collop Rise: This par five hole winds along the Collop, boasting magnificent views of the Donegal and Derry Mountains.
7th hole - Devenish Drop: Named after a nearby island discovered by Saint Molaise in the sixth century, this par four hole enjoys stunning views over Devenish Island thanks to its elevated tee.
10th hole - Emerald Isle: Drawing inspiration from Ireland's poetic name, this hole offers players spectacular views over lower Lough Erne.
17th hole - Lough and Legend: Set against the backdrop of our turrets and manor house, this hole is a chance to reflect on your journey, following in the footsteps of McIlroy, Harrington and Faldo.
